Sarasota's Best Buzzz...The Beekeeper Experience

Feel free to stop by our shop and discover our honey tasting bar, art gallery, pollinator friendly nursery, and view our resident beehives as well. For a real adventure and VIP treatment, try our Beekeeper Experience: 
 
Fun for the whole family! Learn about the amazing honey bee, honey harvest, benefits of the hive, honey sampling, basic beekeeping and get up close and personal with our friendly bees!

 2 hour visit includes:
  • Private presentation on bees, honey, agriculture and beekeeping.
  • Hands-on overview on hive inspection, how to properly wear your beekeeping gear, how to light a smoker. 
  • Hive inspection on actual beehive: see the different levels of growth within the hive, types of bees, honey, pollen, and try to find the Queen bee!
  • Photo documentation of your experience which includes your photograph holding a frame of bees and/or inspecting the hive! (Youtube friendly link to slide show set to music is available)  
  • Private sampling and education of all our honey products and access to our honey gift shop and pollinator friendly garden.

General Ticket: $75
Kids 3 to 13 years old $40
Beekeeper Experience is scheduled during non-business hours.
Thursday through Saturday at 9am
Sunday through Tuesday: Anytime before 1pm. Please email alma@sarasotahoney.com or contact us 941-726-8755 to schedule your tour. Closed toe shoes required. We can provide you with long WHITE tube socks or you can bring your own. Please know your white socks must be long enough to fit over your bee pants.
