Prepping to begin our honey-bee tours: We are please to announce that we are in the process of putting in a new pollinator garden! We are working on our new “bee village”. Our honey bees are totally going to love their new digs designed by students from Ringling School of Art and Design. Additionally, we are bringing our new exotic chicks!!! It is our goal to offer a variety of workshops and tours outdoors by reservation only to small groups by early November. Now you can learn about the BIRDS and the bees...just the bees. We will have more details soon!

Words from Busy Bee Jess…Debuting a NEW Honey: A Sarasota Honey Company first! While on a business trip, our Queen Bee discovered a honey that blew our minds! It was soo unique that we thought it would be fun to offer it at the store. Unfortunately, we were told it is sold before it is harvested to gourmet chefs and high-end honey retailers like Savannah Bee Company. It ridiculously hard to find and expensive to ship. Feeling disappointed I reported my findings to our Queen Bee via Face-time. Unfazed she said “OK! I gotta go.” After the call ended, my mom commented, “You know where Alma is going right?” I begrudging replied, “To get that honey.” A few weeks later, our Queen Bee left me a voicemail, “Hey Jess, you remember that honey that they said was hard to find… I got it…luvs ya!” The honey is from one part of the United States and has been described to have the taste of cotton candy, fruity pebbles, and marshmallows. I will have the full story in our November newsletter. The honey is now available at our store 2227 University Parkway, Sarasota, FL 34243 and Wednesday Phillippi Farmhouse Market 9am to 2pm located at 5500 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231
